This week the Spanish sport dailies and todosobrecamisetas.net sneaked the new Real Madrid 12/13 Home football shirts made by Adidas, commemorating the 110 years anniversary of the club.
The away kit will remain black, and the third kit will be green. The only other time that team wore a green kit was in 1965 for a summer friendly against River Plate in Venezuela, where they had to borrow a green kit in order not to clash with the home team. That match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The new ‘sneaked’ home kit reminds me of baseball style jerseys with a V neck and dark piping around the shoulders, sleeves and neck. The V neck also has a tint of blue inside the collar. The away kit is black with florescent yellow designs and lines. The 110 years logo is very fresh. The sponsor is BWIN, I am not sure how Emirates will fit in.
I personally really liked this year’s kits with the gold piping and gold player names and numbers. I also liked the black away kit with the same gold designs and the red (Champions League) away kit or third kit. I will be honest and tell you that I am not that excited about the home kit nor the green third kit. That said, I do love the ‘leaked’ black away kit, especially the neon day glo yellow stripes. Please note we have not seen any official release or confirmation from the club.
What do you think? Do you like the sneaked kits? Will you buy them?
