This season has been a roller coaster ride so far. European Spots 3 – 6 or 7 are still up for grabs, especially with Valencia getting a bit complacent in recent weeks and having the gruelling Europa League road ahead of them, along with Atletico and Athletic Club. Meanwhile relegation is up for grabs as well. It is going to be a crazy mosh pit yet against this season end. The inconsistency is reflected in the form of each teams and the Power Rankings, aside from the big two and Zaragoza at the bottom, the form table continues to be extremely fluid. The big climbers this month: Racing Santander, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla in relative terms. The big drops: Granada, Mallorca and Malaga.
Here are the Week 19 Power Rankings:
| RANK (LW) | TEAM | RECORD | COMMENT |
| 1 (1) | REAL MADRID | 15-1-2 | A little scary at the back, Mallorca shocked Los Blancos, but remontada & favorable calls prevailed. |
| 2 (2) | BARCELONA | 12-5-1 | Betis also scared el blaugrana, but a comeback and questionable calls kept status quo. |
| 3 (5) | REAL SOCIEDAD | 5-6-7 | Holy cow a 6 game unbeaten streak and a surprise win vs big bad Valencia at Mestalla. |
| 4 (13) | RACING SANTANDER | 4-8-6 | 5 game unbeaten run, for the plucky team from Cantabria. |
| 5 (3) | OSASUNA | 6-8-4 | Osasuna in a bit of a dip, but hope to bounce back now that they are out of the copa. |
| 6 (6) | GETAFE | 5-6-7 | 4 game unbeaten streak for los azulones and Pedro Leon is back! |
| 7 (4) | VALENCIA | 10-4-4 | The tough midweek games have taken their toll, plus Soldado & Albelda suspended didn’t help. |
| 8 (10) | ATHLETIC BILBAO | 6-8-4 | Beautiful display of speed, long balls, tiqui taca, crosses, and headers, a mix of contrasting styles. |
| 9 (8) | REAL BETIS | 7-1-10 | The Beticos came back and startled Barca. Unfortunately they ran out of gas towards the end & Mario got sent off. |
| 10 (11) | ESPANYOL | 7-4-7 | 4 game unbeaten streak, effective and efficient particularly in defense. No slouches. |
| 11 (15) | ATLETICO MADRID | 6-5-7 | Cholo power, Atleti got some breaks from the ref, but played exciting footy. Improving. |
| 12 (16) | SEVILLA | 6-7-5 | Reyes seems to be improving, but not sure what is going on with Negredo. Too predictable wing play. |
| 13 (7) | GRANADA | 5-4-9 | Two losses in a row. The Granadinos have hit a bad patch. Shaky defending. |
| 14 (14) | LEVANTE | 9-3-6 | The 2nd team from Valencia didn’t play bad at San Mames, but just broke down in defense. |
| 15 (9) | MALLORCA | 4-7-7 | Caparros’ crew should be proud of their showing vs El Real. Chori Castro reborn. |
| 16 (19) | RAYO VALLECANO | 6-4-8 | After a bad patch, Rayo comes back with two in a row. Michu on form. |
| 17 (17) | SPORTING GIJON | 5-3-10 | Finally a win at home, after a string of poor results. Still fighting. |
| 18 (12) | MALAGA | 7-4-7 | This team just looks so bad. The defense is a shambles. Too individualistic play. |
| 19 (18) | VILLARREAL | 3-7-8 | Without Marco Ruben, no goal power. Molina needs to reinvent los amarillos. |
| 20 (20) | REAL ZARAGOZA | 2-5-11 | Hey, at least that got a point at home. Finally after 6 losses in a row. |
