A Better Lens at Spanish Football

With the regional flag kits, the latest rage in Spain. I realized that I forgot to give Athletic Bilbao’s presentation of their second kit for the 2011 – 2012 based on the Ikurriña (Basque region or Euskadi flag) from April, it’s proper due. Current President Macua most likely decided on the early release to kick start his election campaign.

Petronor (the local oil company) is still the sponsor and Umbro is the kit maker. The new away shirt has a green color with a crew neck collar. The are two white and red horizontal stripes across the chest. The Umbro logo is on the right side with the club’s badge on the left. The black track suits (were by the lads) were also presented, along with the light grey goal keeper outfit.
The traditional red and white striped jersey will be retained as the 1st kit. The official presentation of all three kits will occur after Presidential elections in July.

Do you like the second kit based on Basque flag and colors? What do you think of the current regional flag kit fashion?
